Race on the Runway

Race on the Runway is a unique running event held in Currituck County, North Carolina, featuring three race options: a scenic 10K called the Tarmac 10K, a 5K named Flight Deck 5K, and a 1-mile fun run called the Taxi-Trot. The courses wind through the Currituck County Campus and regional airport, including taxiways, hangars, trails, dirt, and paved roads, with opportunities to see local wildlife and ponds. The event welcomes runners and walkers, including those with strollers and dogs.
