Race to Zero

The Race to Zero is an annual family-friendly event held at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville, Illinois. Scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025, it features a 5k chip-timed run or walk and a 1-mile family fun walk. Registration costs $35 per person for the 5k and $35 per family for the 1-mile walk.

Participants receive a t-shirt, and those who raise over $100 earn a special ZCenter Race Bag. The event is organized by the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center and offers a supportive atmosphere for runners and walkers of all ages.
