Racing Against Hate 5K Run/Walk
The Racing Against Hate event is the 2nd annual run hosted by the First Coast YMCA and the Jewish Community Alliance on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Winston Family YMCA, 221 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32202. The event includes community activities in a Unity Village and fundraising to benefit the First Coast YMCA and Jewish Community Alliance's Together Against Hate partnership for 2026-2027 education and speaker events. Participants receive a Racing Against Hate T-shirt and a custom medal.
- 5 km run or walk over the Acosta Bridge, main road (southbound)
- 1 mile fun run along the riverwalk
Logistics, timing and awards
Packet pickup is available at the Winston Family YMCA and at the Jewish Community Alliance on specified dates before race day and on race day. A warm-up and brief stretch will be led by YMCA and JCA instructors. The Unity Village will be open before and after the runs with vendors, community partners, activities and food trucks.
The 5K will use chip timing with bib chips distributed at packet pickup; runners must cross the finish mat with the chip attached to score. Chips do not need to be returned. Overall awards are given 1st to 3rd, and 5K age-group awards are presented in 10-year intervals (0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
