Event overview
Raid the Rock is an adventure race held in Central Arkansas (Little Rock area) on December 20 and 21, 2025. The event offers two timed race options with navigation required by map and compass. Each race may include trekking/running, mountain biking, paddling, and, if the location allows, a ropes section. The organizer provides canoes, personal flotation devices, and paddles for the paddling sections.
Race format, teams and registration
- 8 hour course (intermediate)
- 24 hour course (advanced)
Teams may enter as four-person, three-person, two-person, or solo. Four-person teams have subdivisions: Premier, Masters, and Open. The Premier and Masters subdivisions apply only to three- or four-person co-ed teams in the 24 hour race. To qualify for the Masters subdivision, every team member must be at least 40 years old. Solo racers must submit a race resume to register and must be at least 18 years old. Support crews are optional for all races.
Registration opens March 24, 2025. Fee tiers and deadlines for each course are set by the organizer and change as registration windows close: early bird ends May 24, next tier ends August 24, a later tier ends November 24, and final registration closes December 19. Registration fees include a race shirt, a post-race meal for each team member and two support crew members, maps, and use of provided canoe equipment.
