Rally for Research is a fundraising 5k organized by the Harvard Tech and Global Health Initiative on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Jamaica Plain, MA. Entry fee is $20. Funds raised from entries and donations are designated for the American Association for Cancer Research, Mass General Cancer Center, and Christopher’s Haven Boston. Registration opens January 26, 2026.
Course and logistics
The course begins just north of the Jamaica Pond Boathouse, follows two clockwise laps around Jamaica Pond on the park path, and finishes adjacent to the Boathouse. The route uses a shared path; runners and walkers are asked to give way to other park users. Check-in and an awards presentation are included in the event schedule. Volunteer opportunities are available.
Transportation and parking details note multiple options: the start area is accessible via the Emerald Necklace bike and pedestrian path. Subway access: Stony Brook (Orange Line) and Heath Street (Green Line E branch) are each about a 1,000 m walk; Brookline Village (Green Line D branch) is about 1,500 m. Bus riders can use the 39 to S Huntington Ave & Perkins St, then walk roughly 400 m. Parking lots are available off Pond Ave and Willow Pond Road, with additional street parking on Moraine St and nearby Jamaica Pond parking lots within 200–300 m of the start/finish.
