Reading Hospital Road Run : West Reading, PA
The Reading Hospital Road Run will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in West Reading, PA. The event is hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital and includes the following distances:
- 1/2 Marathon
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run
Registration opens December 1, 2025 for the 1/2 marathon and 5K, and January 1, 2026 for the 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run. Current entry prices are $65 for the 1/2 marathon, $25 for the 5K, and $10 for the 1 Mile. Participants who register by September 15, 2026 are guaranteed a short-sleeve wicking race shirt.
Course, timing and awards
The 1/2 marathon and 5K will be chip-timed. The course starts and finishes in front of the clock tower and loops around the park and the neighborhoods south of the hospital campus. The 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run is untimed and will start on Spruce Street at 6th and finish on 6th in front of the clock tower at the hospital. Pacers will be provided for the half marathon; details are available online.
Cash prizes are listed for overall finishers in the 1/2 marathon: $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd in both Men’s and Women’s divisions. 5K awards go to the top three male and female finishers in age groups from 10 & under through 70+. 1/2 Marathon awards go to the top three male and female finishers in age groups from 19 & Under through 60+.
