Event information
The Reason for the Season Run is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025, in DeMotte, Indiana at the American Reformed Church, 1021 S. Halleck Street. The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Free Kid's Run following the awards ceremony
Entry for the 5K events is listed at $20. Race packets include a long sleeve tech shirt. An awards ceremony will follow the main 5K events.
Course features and purpose
The event uses chip timing for finish results with timing mats at the starting line, and timing services provided by T&H Timing. The course will have directional signs at turns and at least one water station on course. Participants are offered post-race treats, and age group awards are given.
Proceeds support the Backpack Program for students of KVSC. The Backpack Program provides selected students with a backpack of nutritious, kid-friendly food to take home on weekends when other resources may not be available.
