Series and historic site
The race is part of the RevolutionNJ Race Series and is one of six events held at Revolutionary War historic sites across New Jersey. The series draws inspiration from a historical run that warned American troops of a British attack at Red Bank Battlefield. Other scheduled series events include races at Haddonfield, Monmouth Battlefield, Princeton Battlefield, Washington-Rochambeau, and East Jersey Old Town in 2025.
