About the race
The 15th Annual Red Shoe 5k Run & Walk is hosted at National Harbor along the Potomac River, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC. The event offers multiple options: a 5k run, a 1-mile walk, a kid’s fun run for ages 8 and under, and a “Red Shoe Snoozer” option for supporters who aren’t racing. The course features varied terrain with some gravel and a gentle incline, winding past the waterfront for scenic views of National Harbor.
The Kid’s Fun Run starts in front of the jumbotron near the Ferris Wheel. The atmosphere welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, uniting the community to raise hope for families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
