11th Annual Resolution 5K and 1-Mile Run : overview
The 11th Annual Resolution 5K and 1-Mile Run takes place on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in Virginia Beach, VA at 24th Street Park. The event includes a 1 Mile and a 5K, plus a 5K category for competitive walkers. Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K events and $15 for the 1 Mile. There is no race day registration. Strollers are permitted. Registered participants for both distances receive a finisher medal and a custom race sweatshirt.

Course and logistics
Both races use an out-and-back boardwalk course starting and finishing at 24th Street Park. The 1 Mile turnaround is at 17th Street and the 5K turnaround is at 2nd Street. One aid station with water is provided at the 5K turnaround point. Early packet pickup is available at Running Etc. in Virginia Beach on December 30 and December 31; race day packet pickup is available at the 24th Street Park stage. Awards are planned for overall, masters, age groups, and walkers in the 5K and for overall and age groups in the 1 Mile.
