Event overview
Resolution Run 5K takes place in Fort Collins, CO on December 31, 2025. The event is a neighborhood road race of 5K distance with start and finish at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC). The race is held after sunset; organizers provide glow sticks and encourage participants to wear bright or lighted clothing. Children, strollers, dogs and walkers are explicitly welcome. Entry fees include a gender-specific long-sleeve shirt (size not guaranteed for late registrants), a finisher’s mug, glow sticks and a deluxe hot chocolate bar. The race is capped at 500 participants. Transfers and deferrals are allowed; entries are non-refundable. For entrants with disabilities who require a guide runner, a free entry for the guide is offered by the organizers.
Course, logistics and awards
The course is a flat loop through the Parkwood neighborhood on low-traffic residential streets. This is a rules-of-the-road run; participants must obey traffic laws and yield to traffic if encountered. Shortcuts will make runners ineligible for awards. Finishers receive a memento at the finish line. Awards recognize the top three men’s and top three women’s finishers in standard age groups, the top three non-binary finishers, the oldest and youngest finishers, and K9 finishers. Packet pickup options include a self-serve station the day before for early registrants and on-site pickup at EPIC on race day. A skating rink was offered free for participants in 2024; skate rentals were available on-site for $3. Volunteer roles are listed by the organizers.
