Reuter-Hess Trail Incline

Website

The Reuter-Hess Trail Incline is a challenging 10k trail race held in Parker, Colorado, featuring about 600 feet of elevation gain. The course begins with a lollipop loop that includes a steep incline with widely spaced stairs, making running difficult. After the incline, runners navigate rolling terrain with a mix of smooth and rocky sections before returning to the top of the incline.

The race finishes with a steep but smooth downhill dirt path. A unique feature is the handicap staggered start system by age and gender, inspired by the historic Dipsea race, giving all participants an equal chance to win. A kids' 1-mile race follows a similar route up the incline and down a smooth path, with family participation encouraged.

Awards recognize top finishers, fastest times, and age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
