Event overview
The Boxer Brief 5K & Virtual Challenge to Defeat Colorectal Cancer is the 14th annual event held the weekend of June 6-7, 2026 at City Stadium, home of the Richmond Kickers, and also offered as a global virtual option. The event supports Hitting Cancer Below the Belt; proceeds fund screening and educational services. Registration opens November 1, 2025.

- Diaper Dash - crawling, 4 yards, for children under one
- Toddler Trot - 20 yards, for ages one and two
- Caped Colon Crusader - kids sprint, for children up to six
Kids events, awards, and fundraising
Several free youth events are held on the stadium soccer field; small donations are requested but not required. The Diaper Dash is a crawling race, the Toddler Trot is a short run for one- and two-year-olds, and the Caped Colon Crusader is a cape-themed sprint for children six and under. The virtual option lets participants log miles from activities such as walking, running, riding, swimming, paddling, or dink over the weekend without recording times.
Awards include overall fastest man and woman, age-group awards, fastest duos (including stroller or dog participants), and team awards for costume, largest social team, largest corporate team, and top fundraising team. A referral incentive offers a $20 refund for participants who bring five or more additional registrants using a special URL. Additional race information is available at HCB2.org.
