Event details
The Ridge Rambler is a Half Marathon held in Bridgeport, California. The 2025 edition is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025. Entry fees are $70 per person, rising to $75 after July 31. Registration closes the day before the race at 11:59 PM PT. Participants who register after August 26 are not guaranteed a t-shirt or medal. All proceeds go to Bridgeport Elementary School. An after-party is planned but details are still being finalized.
Course and logistics
The race is a point-to-point course near Twin Lakes in Bridgeport. The start is at about 7,100 feet on the back side of Lower Twin. The route runs steady around the lake, then goes downhill toward Buckeye Road at about 6,800 feet. Runners turn left onto Buckeye Road and climb the ridge; from that point to the finish the terrain has rolling hills. The highest point on the course is approximately 7,130 feet and the finish is near 6,600 feet. Organizers provide a shuttle from the finish line back to the start.
