Course, logistics and policies

The course uses two rugged loops of approximately 26 miles each through Skyline Wilderness Park, the Napa Open Space Preserve, and the Suscol Headwaters Trail System. Solo runners complete both loops; relay teams of two each complete one loop. Terrain includes shaded oak forest sections and exposed ridgelines. There will be a designated drop bag area near the start/finish marked by a blue tarp.

Four aid stations will provide hydration, salty snacks, sweet items, and fresh fruit. The event is cupless: all participants must carry a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration pack for refills. There is a 13 hour total course cutoff; relay teams of two are allotted 6.5 hours per runner for their loop. Crew access is allowed at the Start/Finish area and at the Lake Marie Aid Station (about a 2-mile walk from start/finish); crew are not permitted at the Napa Road or Suscol Headwaters aid stations. Pacers are permitted only for solo 50 mile runners on the final 25-mile loop and are not allowed for relay teams.

Camping is available at Skyline Park May 15–17, with campsites assigned first-come, first-served; check-in after 1:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
