River Bottom Country Runs for St Jude
The River Bottom Country Runs for St. Jude is an annual running event held in Deer Creek, Illinois, featuring a 5K and a half marathon through scenic central Illinois farmland. The courses start with a quarter-mile hill before flattening out, with an out-and-back layout that finishes downhill for a fast final mile.
The half marathon includes a water cannon feature courtesy of the Goodfield Fire Department. Participants receive finishers' medals, koozies, donuts, bananas, and beer (for those 21+). Prizes are awarded to top male and female finishers.
All proceeds support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, aiding childhood cancer research and treatment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
