River City Rat Race

The 25th Annual River City Rat Race takes place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, featuring scenic 10K and 5K run/walk events along the autumn parks and riverfront of downtown. Praised by Runner’s World writer Hal Higdon as one of the most scenic 10Ks, the race offers a family-friendly atmosphere and supports the local YMCA. The course starts at 200 E.

Main St. and finishes at the Historic Old Fort Rivergreenway. Participants receive long-sleeved shirts (while supplies last).

Awards are given to top overall and masters finishers, as well as age group winners ranging from 1 to 99 years old. Registration and packet pick-up are available before and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
