RMRR December Trophy Series
The RMRR December Trophy Series is a 4.5-mile running event held in Denver's Washington Park, organized by Rocky Mountain Road Runners. The race features a unique handicap system with staggered starts over approximately 25 minutes, allowing runners of all speeds a fair chance to win. Participants estimate their 5K time, which is used to predict their 4.5-mile finish and assign start times accordingly.
The course consists of two counter-clockwise laps on paved roads inside Washington Park, starting and finishing along the diagonal road. Parking is available on the east side of the park near Mississippi and Franklin streets. This monthly series fosters competitive yet inclusive racing in a scenic urban park setting.
