Event overview
The Rodeo Stampede - Austin takes place Saturday, March 28, 2026, in the TBD Austin Area, Pflugerville, TX 78660. The event is produced by Bigfoot Running Company and is held at parks and greenbelts with mixed surfaces including paved trails, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations will be on course and snacks and refreshments will be available at the race rally tent. Packet pickup is offered starting 1.5 hours before the event; the shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the race. Volunteers may earn race shirts, VIP access, and a free future race entry or a $20 pre-paid gift card for full race volunteer roles.
A costume contest will be held, with a single winner selected by crowd reaction. The costume prize package includes a free entry to a future Bigfoot race, a "Rodeo Runslinger" trophy, and a Bigfoot prize pack. A Bigfoot mascot and a DJ will be present at the event. The organizer states that the event proceeds in all weather.
Distances, timing and awards
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters, for kids 10 and under.
- 1 Mile - one-mile event, not chip timed.
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles, chip timed.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, chip timed.
- Volunteer then Run 5K - chip timed 5K option limited to first 10 sign ups.
- Virtual Run - virtual participation option.
All finishers receive a medal and shirt. The 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon offer 1st overall male and female trophies, masters (40+) recognition pins, and age group pins for age categories from 10 and under through 70+.
