Rogue Gorge : October 18 & 19, 2025
Rogue Gorge takes place at Union Creek Day Use Picnic Shelter and Amphitheater in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, Southern Oregon Cascades. The event includes the following race distances:
- 50 Miler
- 50K
- Half Marathon (13.4 miles)
- 12K (7.5 miles)
A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Siskiyou Mountain Club. The organizers provide marked courses, aid stations, medical support, timing and results, custom finisher awards and professional photography. Every participant receives a custom finish award; the top three male and top three female finishers receive custom awards.
Course, logistics and local details
All routes run along the rim of the Upper Rogue Wild & Scenic River and use the Rogue Gorge Trail and Upper Rogue River Trail (a National Recreation Trail). Course characteristics:
- The 50 Miler is a down-river, point-to-point route that is about 99% singletrack, with approximately 4,000 ft of ascent, 5,900 ft of descent and six aid stations.
- The 50K is an out-and-back on roughly 99% singletrack, about 31.0 miles with 3,000 ft ascent and 3,000 ft descent and four aid stations.
- The Half Marathon is mostly out-and-back, about 13.4 miles, 98% singletrack, with 900 ft ascent/descent and one aid station at mile 7.
- The 12K is a lollipop loop-style course, about 7.5 miles, 98% singletrack, with about 330 ft ascent/descent.
Staging, parking and lodging details: event parking uses the Union Creek Campground and road shoulder; camping is first-come, first-served with fees payable by cash or check at arrival; the Union Creek Resort offers nearby lodging. Pets are allowed at the staging area and crew-accessible aid stations when leashed, but pets are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
