Event overview
The 15th Annual Round the Bay Relay and Ultra is scheduled for December 27, 2025. The event includes two principal options:
- 36.8 Mile Relay
- 36.8 Mile Ultra
The course follows roads around Choctawhatchee Bay in the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area and passes through Destin, Bluewater Bay, Niceville, Valparaiso, Shalimar, and Fort Walton Beach. The route is described as six unofficial legs.
Course features and support
The course description lists seven bridges, nine hills, four bayous, and one bay. Aid and support is planned at three stocked aid stations approximately at mile 16 (Hurricanes Grill/Bar), mile 22 (Tropical Smoothie in Niceville), and mile 30 (Shalimar). Planned support items include water, snacks, a bag drop, and basic medical supplies.
Ultra finishers are to receive a commemorative growler. Post-race provisions are listed as music, food, drinks, and a post-race buffet with live music. The Island Resort is named as the event host hotel and offers special beachfront rates and on-site packet pickup arrangements.
