Royal Gorge Groove - Cañon City, CO
Royal Gorge Groove is a trail running event held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort in Cañon City, Colorado. All races start and finish at the resort (Gunslingers Club) and use trails along the rim of the Royal Gorge, roughly 900 feet above the Arkansas River. Course terrain includes cliffs, steep drop-offs, rocky trails and rolling hills. The event includes live split tracking and a bike event on the same courses the following day.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 to 6 miles. Crews may support runners at the start/finish area; spectators will be allowed there though parking may be limited. Drop bags are permitted at the finish area; no pacers are allowed for any distance. Each distance has awards for the top three male and female finishers and a finisher award for all finishers. Medical support includes EMTs based at the start/finish headquarters. Weather in April is likely to be cool and snow is possible; organizers may require essential gear and may stop or turn runners around if conditions become unsafe.
