RRRC Bear Creek 10 Mile Trail Run

Registration

The RRRC Bear Creek 10 Mile Trail Run is a scenic trail race held at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland, Virginia, about 45 minutes west of Richmond. The event features a challenging 10-mile loop course through the piedmont hills of Cumberland State Forest and the state park, primarily on single-track trails with creek crossings, short hills, roots, mud, and occasional obstacles like fallen trees. The course is 98% trail and includes about 1,000 feet of elevation gain.

The race is capped at 275 participants and offers both in-person and virtual options. Water stations are provided, but runners must bring their own hydration containers as the race is cup-free. Walkers and hikers are welcome, with support available for slower finishers.

The Richmond Road Runners Club donates part of the registration fees to support the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
