Event details
Run Elf Run! takes place in downtown Pontiac, Michigan on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The start line is at the corner of Saginaw and Pike streets, with the official venue listed as 1 S. Saginaw St., Pontiac, MI 48342. The race is held in conjunction with the 44th annual Holiday Extravaganza and the city parade.
Distances offered:
- 5K - Run/walk event in downtown Pontiac
- 0.25 mile - "Run Little Elves, Run!" kids' run
Packet pickup is at the 7 North building (7 N. Saginaw St.). Pickup is available the day before the event and on race morning.
Amenities and awards
All 5K participants receive a medal that can be transformed into a holiday ornament, a long sleeve T-shirt, and a race bib. Finish line refreshments are provided. Post-race beer and a pretzel are available for participants 21 and older; a soft drink is provided as an alternative. The kids' run registrants receive a medal, a Scholastic book, and an ice cream treat.
Awards include a certificate for a free pair of running shoes (up to $180) for the overall male and female 5K winners. First, second, and third overall male and female finishers receive candy cane trophies. Age group winners (in 10-year increments) also receive candy cane trophies.
