About the race
Run Elf Run is a 5K Run/Walk in downtown Pontiac, Michigan, part of the annual Holiday Extravaganza. The start line sits at the corner of Saginaw and Pike Streets, with packet pickup inside the Crofoot building. The event embraces a festive, small‑town atmosphere as runners join a 44‑year tradition that kicks off the Holiday Extravaganza Parade in Oakland County.
A 0.25‑mile Run Little Elves, Run! kids’ option is included. Participants receive a long‑sleeve T‑shirt, a medal that can become a holiday ornament, a race bib, and finish‑line refreshments; post‑race beer and pretzels are provided. Prizes include candy‑cane trophies and a chance at free running shoes.
