About the race
The Loaves and Fishes and Veterans Services of the Carolinas Run for Recovery is a 5K running and walking event held in Beaufort, North Carolina. The race features a timed 5K run and an untimed 5K walk, both starting and finishing at Turner and Front Streets. The course runs along historic Front Street, showcasing beautiful homes and views of wild banker ponies by the waterfront.
Certified by USATF, the event supports addiction recovery and homelessness programs, including a residential recovery program and veteran services. Participants can enjoy the charming "coolest small town in America" atmosphere and nearby attractions like Cape Lookout Lighthouse and Shackleford Island.
