Run for Sewa

Run for Sewa is a community running event held in Avon Lake, Ohio, featuring multiple race options including a 5K, 1 Mile, Student 5K, and Student 1 Mile. The event supports ASPIRE tutoring and mentorship programs aimed at improving high school graduation rates among at-risk youth in Cleveland. The 5K race is chip-timed and offers awards for top finishers across various age groups, while the 1 Mile is untimed.

Participants receive a short-sleeve t-shirt (for the first 150 registrants), post-race refreshments, and a festive atmosphere. A unique feature is the limited-entry Samosa 5K, where runners enjoy a samosa treat mid-race. The event takes place at Weiss Field in Avon Lake.
