Event
Run 4 the Health of It is the inaugural 5K held at Hillside High School in Durham, NC on March 21, 2026. The event includes on-site race amenities for registered participants, who receive a premium dry fit T-shirt and a race bib that includes a Trio and Beverage from Mr. A’s Beignets. Results will be posted automatically on race day when participants connect a Twitter account.
On-site activities and awards
The event features a Racers' Village with local vendors such as Fleet Feet, Black Cap Ginger Brew, and Lavish Soap Box. The Red Cross is hosting a blood drive during the event. Participants may receive complimentary five-minute shoulder or foot massages after the run.
Prizes include cash and gift awards for the overall male and female winners, and awards for the top three finishers in each age group. Winners must be present to collect their prizes. The race is followed by the 4th Annual Black Family Wellness Expo, a free public program with health screenings, panel discussions and workshops, a Kid Zone with games and face painting, food trucks, line dancing, and other family-oriented activities.
