Run for the Roses 5K
The North Carolina Roadrunners Club presents the 45th Annual Run for the Roses 5K on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Walnut Creek Athletic Complex, 1201 Sunnybrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610. Every female finisher receives a red rose. The event includes family activities such as face painting and balloon animals.

Registration fees are $40 through February 1, 2026 (includes a long-sleeved race shirt if entered by that date), $45 through race day, and a special rate of $20 for participants under 18. The long-sleeved shirts come in youth, women’s and men’s sizes; women’s shirts are V-neck and run small. There are no refunds. If the race is cancelled and not rescheduled, shirts will be made available to registered participants.
Awards go to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in age groups 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Youth medals are awarded to the top three in the 14-and-under group. A two-person team competition (one male and one female) is scored by combined time; top three teams receive gift cards. The course has sections of off-road and gravel; jogging strollers are permitted. Dogs are allowed on a leash and owners must clean up after them. A portion of proceeds supports Four Paws NC and Team Red, White and Blue NC, and pet food will be collected for the Wake County SPCA. Event timing is provided by Run The East, LLC.
