Run Oak Island

Run Oak Island is an annual running event held on Oak Island, North Carolina, typically during Presidents Day weekend. The race offers a variety of distances including a 1 Mile fun run, 5K, 10K, two half marathons (East competitive and West walker-friendly), a full marathon, and the world's shortest ultra marathon at 26.25 miles. The courses are known for being flat, scenic, and fast, featuring ocean views, marshlands, a country club, arboretum, and a lighthouse.

All finishers receive large 3D medals and soft tri-blend shirts (except the 1 Mile). The event is part of the Big Ass Medal (BAM!)
