Event overview
The Run Tampa Tinsel Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614. The event includes in-person and virtual options and uses Shelter 315 on the back side of the park for activities, packet pickup, and the start/finish area. Parking is free and participants may park anywhere in the park; the start/finish and packet pickup are a short walk from the front parking.

The 5K is chip timed. The 1 Mile Fun Run is not timed and not chipped; participants under 17 must be accompanied by a parent. The virtual 5K includes a shirt and finisher medal that are mailed to participants. A gender-specific shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by December 3; female shirts run small. Awards for the 5K include stuffed gnome awards to the top three overall male and female, age-group awards three deep across multiple age bands, running shoes for first place adult and under-15 winners, and other sponsor prizes. Pre-race packet pickup is offered at local running stores on specified dates before the event.
