About the race
Run The Ridge Trail Race in Beaver Dam, Kentucky offers three trail distances: 5K, 10K, and 25K. The course climbs high in the hills and winds along dirt roads and ridge overlooks, with steep ascents and descents to reach the ridge top and return. The race starts and finishes at the celebrated Bill Monroe Homeplace, celebrating bluegrass heritage with live music along the course and on the Homeplace porch.
It is linked with Bill Monroe Foundation events such as Pickin’ on the Porch and Camping and Jamming, and primitive camping is available. All finishers receive medals, with awards for top finishers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
