Event overview
The 2025 Run to Remember LOOSEFOOT 616 is the fourth annual memorial run held on October 18, 2025, in Coronado, CA, and virtually across the country and around the world. The event is organized by The AWS1 James Buriak Foundation. All proceeds go to the foundation, an all-volunteer military and military spouse organization that provides pre-mishap education and immediate post-mishap support for the Navy and Marine Corps Aviation community and their families. The foundation also provides childcare resources and initial financial and planning assistance. The event fundraising page shows $203.86 raised.
Course, distances and fees
The in-person route begins at Coronado Tidelands Park and runs along the waterfront and the Bayshore Bikeway to distance-specific turnaround points. The 6.16 km course turns near the Coronado Tennis Courts and the Coronado Yacht Club. The 6.16 mile course turns by looping Glorietta Bay Park adjacent to the Coronado Community Center.
