Event overview
The 8th Annual Run4Sharks & Ocean Health Fair is on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at South Jr High, 2320 E South Street, Anaheim, CA 92806. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K - timed; prizes for top 3 in each age group.
- 1 mile - kids and family fun run; not timed.
- Virtual 5K - complete the distance remotely.
The 5K is professionally timed and awards top three finishers in each age group: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, and 66 and over. All finishers in the timed 5K receive a custom medal. The 1 mile is for fun activities and includes a bubble station and a water sprinkler run-through.
Participation and fundraising
The event raises funds for Shark Stewards’ Ocean Academy at South Jr High and for online youth education programs. On-site features include informational booths, an opportunity drawing, and a silent auction with donated items and experiences. Families receive themed items for children; kids 10 and under get a shark-themed goody bag and a choice of shark socks. There is a costume contest with prizes for the top three boys and top three girls.
Teams of five or more receive a $5 discount after the fourth team member; the first four team members receive a $5 refund when the discount applies. Online registration closes November 14, 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
