Event overview

The RunAround Tucson Relay p/b Tucson Medical Center is a team relay held in Tucson, AZ on January 3, 2026. The relay starts and finishes at Rillito Regional Park and uses about 50 miles of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop and connected segments. Event options include full relay teams, pre-paid relay teams, the Ultra Loopy solo option, and a Buddy Runner/Rider category (participants in the Buddy Runner/Rider category must accompany a registered runner).

Course, format and rules

The race is a supported relay with nine official exchanges and ten running legs (an unofficial exchange 6A can create an eleventh leg). Distances between exchanges vary. Teams may have between 2 and 10 members (11 if using the unofficial exchange 6A). Teams must check in at every exchange or they will be recorded as a DNF; Ultra Loopy runners only need to check in at Exchange 6. The event uses wave starts ordered by team speed so teams finish in time for post-race activities. All teams must meet course cutoffs and specific exchange cutoffs. RaceJoy tracking will be active for participant tracking.
