Runnin' with the Law

"Runnin' with the Law" is an annual race event held at Finn Road Park & Campground in Essexville, MI, organized by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 103 and Consumers Energy. The event features multiple race options, including a hero run (9.11 miles), a 5-mile felony apprehension run, a 5K foot pursuit, and a 5K walk called jaywalking. There is also a kids' ¼ mile run.

Participants can choose to run in person or virtually during the race week. The event promotes community engagement with a Public Safety Showcase where attendees can meet law enforcement and local businesses.
