Event
Running of the Lights takes place on January 1, 2026 at Tanglewood Park, 7714 Idols Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012. The event offers two in-person course distances:
- 5K
- 1.75 Mile
The event also includes economy registration options and a virtual race option.
Registration and event features
Registration tiers include regular (shirt and medal with full perks), economy, and virtual entries. Included items listed by the organizer are a finishers medal, a custom race shirt, race photos, and a live feed of the Times Square Ball Drop streamed at the start line. The event notes a celebratory toast before the run and hot chocolate and snacks at the finish. The 5K offers awards and live results.
The organizer’s refund and transfer rules are stated: no refunds will be issued within 30 days of the event start date; earlier than 30 days a request may be made for a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be transferred or deferred to another event or year, except entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee and shirt size cannot be changed.
