Runway 5k - Dixie - Berryhill

The Runway 5K is an annual running event held at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, offering participants a unique chance to run on one of the country's busiest airport runways. The flat and fast 5K course takes place entirely on the runway and taxiways, providing views of planes queuing, taking off, and landing. The event is family-friendly, with children under 12 required to be accompanied by a registered adult.

Participants park at Charlotte Premium Outlets and are transported by bus to the secure airfield. The race supports Airport Opportunity Scholarships with Central Piedmont Community College, promoting aviation careers and economic opportunities in Charlotte.
