The 38th Annual Rye YMCA Derby and Healthy Kids Day is scheduled for April 26, 2026 in Rye, New York. The event takes place at the Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, and will be held rain or shine. Registrants receive a Derby T-shirt while supplies last.
Distances offered
- 5 Mile (runners only; age 14 and up)
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Untimed Walk
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk (1M includes finisher ribbon; ages 5 and under free with registration)
Logistics and awards
The 5M and 5K courses are mostly flat with a few inclines and include three water stations. Streets are not closed to traffic; volunteers and police will be on the course. The 1 Mile course is mostly flat with a steep incline at the midway point. Bib pickup is available in the days before the event and on race day; personalized bibs require registration by April 5.
Registration fees are non-refundable and vary by registration date. Awards for the 5 Mile include cash prizes for the top three overall (1st $600, 2nd $350, 3rd $250) and medals for top age-group finishers. The 5K awards medals by age group; the 1 Mile gives ribbons to all finishers. Team awards require a minimum of five members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
