Salt Lake Foothills Trail Races : May 30, 2026
The event takes place in Salt Lake City, UT, at 2600 S Sunnyside Ave. It is presented by PATH Projects and includes multiple trail race distances on foothill terrain. Registration closes May 24, 2026. The 50 Mile race is new for 2026.
Crew members may access aid stations, but parking is not guaranteed and some walking on sidewalks or roads may be required. The 50K and 10K start and finish at the BoSho trailhead by Hogle Zoo; the half marathon starts at Ensign Peak. Proof is required at bib pickup for discounted entries for military and service members, first responders, and teachers.
Distances, cutoffs and awards
- 50 miles - about 10,000' gain, 15 hour cutoff
- 50K - about 6,200' gain, 11 hour cutoff
- Half marathon - about 2,800' gain, 9 hour cutoff
- 10K - about 1,200' climb, 7.5 hour cutoff
Podium awards are given to the top three men and women at all distances, plus top three most improved men and women year over year. There is a final-mile award for the top man and woman per distance. A prize purse of $3,000 is allocated to 50K and half marathon results: 50K payouts are $475, $325, $200 for the top three; half marathon payouts are $225, $175, $100 for the top three. Refund policy: 50% refund on or before March 1; no refunds or deferrals after that date, except 100% deferrals for pregnancy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
