Sam Costa Half Marathon

The Sam Costa Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon, held in Carmel, Indiana, is the oldest race in the state and the flagship event of the Indy Runners and Walkers club. Established in 1970 by Carmel High School educators and coaches, it offers a friendly, runner-focused experience. The event features a half marathon, testing early-season fitness, and a quarter marathon, ideal for those building up to longer races.

Walkers are encouraged to choose the quarter distance. Hosted at Northview Church since 2006, the race benefits the local running community through scholarships and programs promoting running and walking as healthy lifestyles.
