San Diego Santa Run : December 13, 2025
The San Diego Santa Run takes place in Pacific Beach, with the start and finish on Garnet Avenue near the Bank of America. The event offers multiple distances:
- 5K
- Kids 1 Mile (for ages 12 and under)
- Dog 1 Mile (limited to 125 spots)
All 5K participants receive a Sunny Santa suit (hat, top, shorts, belt, beard), sunglasses, a custom bib, chip timing, and a complimentary drink ticket. Kids 1 Mile participants receive a bib, Santa hat, sunglasses, chip timing and a finisher medal. Dogs are not allowed in the 5K.
Entry, timing and logistics
Published registration fees are $49.99 for the 5K, $34.99 for the Kids Mile and $34.99 for the Dog Mile. Chip timing is provided for both 5K waves and the Kids 1 Mile; the Dog 1 Mile is not chip timed. Age group awards are offered only in the earlier 5K wave. Course records listed are: male 5K 14:49 (2018) and female 5K 17:45 (2016).
Packet pick-up is available at scheduled locations in early December and a mail option is offered for $17.50 (deadline November 29, 2025). Post-race drink tickets are redeemable at partner bars (Mavericks Beach Club, Tavern at the Beach, 710 Beach Club, Bar Ella); participants must be 21+ with ID to redeem. Street parking is the primary option in Pacific Beach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
