San Marcos Half Marathon

2026 San Marcos Half Marathon 10k and 5k is Race 2 of the Texas Hill Country Half Marathon series, staged at Tanger Outlets San Marcos on the north Interstate 35 frontage road in San Marcos, Texas. The event features four distances: a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), 10k, 5k, and a 0.05k Fun Run, with virtual versions also offered. Dubbed “The Oldest Half in Texas,” the course winds through prairie landscapes with rolling hills, starting and finishing in the Tanger Outlets mall parking lot.

The day ends with a festive, Scallywompus-style post-race party, medals for finishers, age-group and overall awards, plus fundraising options and a bonus Designer Sport-Tek Tank for completing all four halves.
