Event details
The Sandy Claus 5k and Mistletoe Fun Run take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Jekyll Island, GA (100 James Rd, 31527). The event day includes two official events:
- 5 km - Sandy Claus 5k; entry fee $40. Price increases after November 30, 2025 at 11:59pm EST.
- Mistletoe Fun Run - entry fee $30. Registration ends December 13, 2025 at 11:59pm EST.
The course goes past the Jekyll Christmas light installations and will take place under lights on Jekyll Island. Costumes are encouraged, with examples listed such as Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and themed sweaters.
Logistics and services
Start and finish for all races are at Pier Rd and Hopkins Avenue. Packet pick up is scheduled Friday, December 12 (3:00pm-7:00pm, TBD) and Saturday, December 13 (5:30am-6:15am for the 5k; until 6:45am for the Fun Run). The finish area will feature holiday music and coastal treats, and participants will receive holiday-inspired swag; awards will be given for overall and age group winners. Race organizers provide RaceJoy for live GPS tracking, progress alerts, and send-a-cheer functionality for spectators. Sponsors listed include the Jekyll Island Authority and Q Running Co.
