About the race
Located in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, the Truthahntrab 5K and 1K Fun Run is a turkey-themed event. Runners may choose the 5K or the 1K. The 5K is an out-and-back course that begins at Roebling Park, winds through the town, then travels to Saxony Farms’ pastures and a lake before returning to finish at the park; the route is mostly paved with a short gravel section near the turnaround.
The 1K starts at Roebling Park and completes one lap around town, with all finishers receiving a turkey trot ribbon. Proceeds support Knoch cross country and track and field; a team division adds awards. Main Street hosts Small Business Saturday. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
