Scout Strong 5K
The Scout Strong 5K, hosted by the Monitor Merrimac District of the Colonial Virginia Council - Scouting America, is a community run/walk event held in Newport News, Virginia, near the Mariners’ Museum and Park across from Warwick High School. This second annual 5K encourages participation from runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, promoting health and support for Scouting programs that serve around 2,000 youth. The course offers a family-friendly outdoor experience, fostering physical, mental, and emotional development.
Awards are given to top male and female finishers overall and in various age groups. Proceeds benefit the Colonial Virginia Council’s Scouting America initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
