Overview
The Scranton Half Marathon takes place on April 11-12, 2026 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The event begins and ends at PenFed Credit Union Field at Memorial Stadium. This is the 13th edition of the race. The event has both in-person and virtual options and aims to highlight the local area. The race has given over $450,000 in its first eleven years to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority.

The program includes in-person races, a virtual half marathon run and walk, a Doherty Double option (the 5k plus the half marathon), and separate kids fun runs. Entry fees listed include $75 for the half marathon, $40 for the 5k, $100 for the Doherty Double, $55 for virtual entries, and $0 for the kids fun runs. The 5k has a 50-minute cutoff (about a 16-minute per mile pace); times outside that window will not be recorded. The half marathon walk is fully chip timed, has aid stations beginning at mile 7.5, awards for overall male and female finishers, and walking-only rules. Virtual participants receive bib, shirt, medal, and finisher gift; out-of-area swag is mailed the week of April 13, 2026. Bib and shirt pickup is available at the race expo and on race weekend.
