2025 Semper Fi 5k & Half
The event offers two race distances along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path in Washington, DC. Both races use out-and-back routes on a light gravel trail with minimal elevation change. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund and includes a virtual run option. Walkers are welcome.

The half marathon starts and finishes in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5K starts and finishes at Fletcher’s Boathouse. The half runs on the C&O Canal light gravel dirt road. The 5K is an out-and-back on the same canal path and is described as flat with no major elevation gains.
Services include chip timing, a finisher’s medal, and a technical (Dri-Fit) event shirt. The half marathon will have seven water stations at approximately miles 1.55, 3.8, 4.3, 6.55, 8.8, 9.3 and 11.55; the 5K will have one water station at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points will appear on the organizer’s site the Monday after the race.
Registration fees listed by the organizer: 5K $35 until Oct 15 ($40 after); Half $70 until Oct 15 ($75 after). T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before Oct 15. Packet pickup is available race morning; there is no on-site race registration. Parking guidance is given for both locations (Potomac Boat Club area and Fletcher’s Boathouse) with GPS coordinates provided by the organizer.
