Event details
The LSSC Shamrock Shuffle takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Clermont, FL at the Lake-Sumter State College South Lake campus (1250 North Hancock Road). The course begins on the campus, includes the South Lake Trail via the Hancock Extension, and returns to the campus. The event offers these distances:
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- 5K
- 10K
- Virtual Racer
Registration prices listed by the organizer are $15 for the 1 Mile, $25 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K, and $30 for the Virtual Racer. Prices increase after January 4, 2026. Registration for the Virtual Racer ends March 6, 2026. T-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed only for registrations on or before February 15, 2026.
Awards and participant information
Runners will be timed. Prizes are awarded to top finishers by gender. The top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K will receive placement trophies. Placement recognition in the 5K and 10K is also given to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over. No placements are given in the 1 Mile Fun Run. All registered participants receive a t-shirt and medal if registered by February 15, 2026. No strollers or pets are allowed on the course. Proceeds benefit the LSSC Foundation, which supports scholarships and education at Lake-Sumter State College. Participants 21 and older may access a Green Beer Garden on site.
