2025 SHAY 5K Run/Walk
The SHAY 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Delano, California. The event is a 5K run/walk held at La Vina Middle School (1331 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215). It is organized by Spreading Help Around You, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2014 in memory of a child who died in 2012. The organization’s stated mission is to support families who have lost a loved one, educate about preparedness at times of loss, provide community service, and promote pedestrian safety. The organization has also launched the SHAY Scholarship Program.
Race details and logistics
The event offers a timed 5K with age group awards. All participants receive an event T-shirt, a custom finisher’s medallion, and a race bib; bib numbers will be dynamically assigned. The first 100 participants will receive a custom finisher’s medal. Children aged 10 and under receive a special registration rate. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Delano Chamber of Commerce (931 High St., Delano, CA).
