Event overview
The Signal Hill Rotary Mutt Run 1K & 5K takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Long Beach, California (ZIP 90803). The event starts at the Claremont Launch Ramp at 5350 E. Ocean Blvd and the course follows the Long Beach shoreline.
Race packet pickup is at the starting line on race day. Participants are advised to allow time before the race. Parking is available at the 54th & Claremont lot.

- 5K: runners/walkers (humans only) and dogs + humans option
- 1K: dogs + humans
Dogs of all breeds are welcome. Dogs must be leashed, stay on the pedestrian path at all times, and be non-aggressive with people and other dogs. The finish area includes an adoption event by Long Beach Animal Care Services and a post-race festival. All participants receive a finisher medal; 1K and 5K participants receive a race t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three 5K finishers. Seventy percent of proceeds will support Long Beach Animal Care Services and thirty percent will go to the Signal Hill Rotary community project fund.
